Invitations to Students, Mentors, and Volunteers

We encourage you to display your FIRST team members (students, mentors, and volunteers) on your ClassWish fundraising page. You can see this on a sample FIRST team fundraising page. This has several benefits:

A nonprofit website, ClassWish.org, has built custom fundraising tools specifically for FIRST teams. It is quite feature-rich, as you can see on this sample team page.
We are creating a fundraising page for our team, and we would like to include all the students, mentors and volunteers. Your participation will provide recognition for your hard work and will make the fundraising more effective (people are most likely to donate when they see the faces of the people they are helping, especially if they know them).
It is quick and easy. Here is what you do:

- they get recognition for their dedication and work--on the team page and on their own page of ClassWish
- they feel more engaged in the team's fundraising process
- people who know and recognize them will be more likely to contribute
- even visitors who do not personally know any of the members are more likely to donate when they see the faces of the participants (people respond to people)
- you can allow and track contributions to fund travel for particular team members (click the name or photo of any of the members on the sample page)
- you can provide recognition for fundraising efforts by letting contributors indicate who should get recognition for their donation

- Join the site using your real name. Be sure to upload a photo (although you could use an avatar, a picture of your cat is less likely to attract donations). Say something enthusiastic there about our team, please! Here is a sample student profile.
- Send me the URL of your ClassWish profile page so I can enter it into the team admin panel. That will cause you to appear on the team page and for the team logo to appear on your profile page.
- Once we have our page finished and everyone appearing, I will ask everyone to share the team fundraising page with people they know and through social media.
If we take advantage of the ClassWish platform, this can be a great source of funding for us.
